I was browsing through the books at one of the book stores and came across this book ,'Chakras :Wheels of life' by Anodea Judith... as a Reiki healer it caught my attention as it was an opportunity to explore more into the realms of healing.
This books deals with many aspects of it, but then this piece of post is not about publicizing the book or to draw attention to what I read:) Ok...so it is about the Self Chakra Test which I took and about its analysis...

This books deals with many aspects of it, but then this piece of post is not about publicizing the book or to draw attention to what I read:) Ok...so it is about the Self Chakra Test which I took and about its analysis...
So each Chakra corresponds to different areas such as
- Chakra one: to Earth ,survival and grounding
- Chakra two: to Water, Emotions, Sexuality.
- Chakra three:to Fire, Power, will
- Chakra four: to Air ,love, Relationship
- Chakra five: to Sound, Communication and creativity.
- Chakra six: to light, Intuition and seeing
- Chakra seven: to thought ,Awareness, Wisdom, Intelligence
So all these Chakras are the energy centres for the reception, assimilation and transmission of life energies. Each one of them are located at the specific centre in the body and corresponds to the endocrine system and they are rotating constantly....This basic information can be found out from any book describing the Chakra system.
Now this Chakra test was for identifying the strong and/or weak or malfunctioning Chakras, as all of them need to be balanced with each other( though this is an ideal situation rather than a reality!).Blockage in one can affect the functioning of other Chakras too... so this exercise is to diagnose this and then work on it further to bring it back to harmony /equilibrium or balance.... I guess that is sufficient introduction:) now about the results..................
Strong Chakras: Chakra one, three and four
Average Chakras: Chakra two, five, six and seven
This indicates that I have higher scores in the middle Chakras whereas average in rest all.
- First Chakra :Primary drive associated with it is survival. So being balanced means seeking out and finding the environment where the physical being thrives in. Survival happens naturally and gracefully.
- Chakra three: This is the seat of will power and the centre that gives mobility in life-the ability to initiate activity,to define boundaries and also the choice to act or not to act. so this Chakra perspective through Discrimination. So well functioning Chakra indicates this area.
- Chakra four: First three Chakras deal with the preservation of the separate identity. While the awakened fourth Chakra help us rise up out of that separateness and begin to experience unity with all life.
Average functioning Chakras two, five ,six and seven may indicate bringing more balance into these areas.
The primary drive of Chakra two is the search for pleasure .The fifth Chakra impels one to express in a creative way.The sixth is experienced as images and a feeling for a larger life force that one is part of.Dominant drive of the seventh Chakra is the desire to experience the Divine.
This is the overall rough picture I got from this test. Though this test is not the scientific measuring tool or absolute measure it helped me to get a rough sketch of the subtle energy system in myself. This is an indication of the 'right now right here ' snap shot of it. So it is dynamic. Also all these Chakras are interrelated so the functioning of one does affects the functioning of others as well. It initiate the process of of self reflection and efforts to bring about harmony and equilibrium in the subtle energy system.
Another interesting topic in this book is about the Chakras and relationships. As majority of the issues of our life are pertaining to the dysfunctional relationships.
dude you need to repost this whole post. Its hardly readable. the colour scheme needs to be changed for it to be bale to read. undoubtly this must be a very good post.
